Nathan Mullins was born in 1989 in Clarksdale, MS. He received his MFA in Studio Art from American University in 2015 and earned his BFA in Drawing and Painting from The University of Southern Mississippi in 2012. Mullins has also studied abroad in Italy through The University of Georgia's Studies Abroad Program in 2011 and in Germany through the MFA Studio Berlin program at American University in 2014. His group exhibitions include Carte Blanche at Adah Rose Gallery in Kensington, MD; Blueprint at the Katzen Arts Center in Washington, DC in 2015; Recent Paintings at the New York Studio School in New York, NY in 2013; and Mostra at Palazzo Vagnotti in Cortona, Italy in 2011. Mullins writes for the online and print publications produced by Mississippi Modern, Inc. and served on the company's Board of Directors as Community Outreach Coordinator. He is currently teaching at Savannah State University in Savannah, GA.
